Creative & Play

  • Rosalind Parker

    Physical Theatre

Connection with the body, breath and voice, practising performance improvisation through verbal and non-verbal communication, drawing from techniques such as Grotowski, shamanic theatre, Meisner and clowning. Participants learn to work in presence as individuals, graduating into pairs, small groups and eventually as a whole group collective. The focus is on performance, however, workshops are held in a highly supportive way, with no pressure to perform in front of the whole group. The workshop aims to bring participants into a state of play and discovery so that each one leaves having unearthed a part of themselves they had not yet met.

20 plus years of professional theatre directing and teaching movement, drama & physical theatre to all ages.

    Transformative Improvisational Play (DvT)

This is a practice of play based on theatrical improvisation and drama therapy. It only requires an empty space and an open mind - no props, no scripts no pressure. This is playful, interpersonal mindfulness in motion.

I have been training in this method regularly since 2016 by trained Drama Therapists and Developmental Transformation (DvT) practitioners. I ran my own group in Cornwall for 1 year prior to Covid and have recently been returning to leading groups.

    Exploring Clown

Some gentle games to introduce clown state, taking participants through a range of different feelings and experiences, rooted in fun and laughter, with some light performance work.

I have facilitated a handful of ecstatic dances, held sharing circles, run workshops in partner dance and in clowning and dance combined, and facilitated clown games with children and with friends in more casual settings.

    Singing In Nature

Learn songs from around the world and warm your heart.

I’m a musician, teacher and writer living in Boscombe, by the sea. I run community choirs and use music and storytelling to bring people together. My mission is to explore the ‘wild imagination’ and nourish the soul through song, word, movement and dance. We are all sparks of the divine flame. Music helps us remember.

  • Abril Trias

    Drawing & Mark Making Space

Abril will bring simple drawing tools such as pencils, charcoal and colour markers to the dance space. Drawing enables an introspective, active looking-witnessing. For the duration of the camp, a space will be set up and covered with paper. Participants are invited to come at any time and make marks.

I have experience delivering participatory arts experiences in South Wales, working with people of different ages, often intergenerationally, and in an inclusive manner supporting people’s needs. My facilitation is person-centred, as I support participants in finding their journey of self-expression and well-being through the arts in their own unique way. I have worked with a variety of media and art techniques, including community art eco-crafts, textile, printing, sculpture, dance/ movement and filmmaking- as well as delivering “creative recovery” sessions for people needing support in reconnecting with their essence and creative voice.
