Tension to Transformation Sculptures Somatic Clay Ritual

In this grounding, hands‑on workshop, Heidi guides you through a somatic process of tuning into where your body holds tension, sculpting that tension into form, and gently reshaping it into what your body truly needs. Using clay, mindfulness, and intuitive movement, you’ll explore release, renewal, and embodied creativity. No art experience needed — just a willingness to feel and transform.

My somatic practice is informed by 25 years of study, practice and teaching yoga to adults and children. My fine arts background has led me into art psychotherapy, where I currently work in adult community mental health. I deliver group and one-to-one therapy sessions that are person-centred and trauma-informed, and where body and mind are given equal importance.

    Authentic Storytelling

This workshop uses storytelling as a starting point, exploring how personal narrative can shape movement. Drawing from physical theatre and clowning, people are invited to explore their authenticity, noticing how emotion, memory, and imagination develop through the body. Story here is not about performance or linear plot, but about presence — a living thread that guides movement and expression.

Through this workshop, people explore how authentic movement emerges when story is shared, received, and responded to through the body. The workshop highlights the link between storytelling, authenticity in performance, offering a playful and grounded way to bring personal truth into shared movement.

    Awakening the Clown

A playful exploration of risk, presence and ridiculousness

Together we will explore another wonderful improvisational art form which can draw skills from our dance practice, as well as feed back into it in a wonderfully playful way.

I'll be offering some gentle drama games that introduce clown state, finding playfulness, presence and a child-like essence together.

Participants will be taken through a range of different feelings and experiences, rooted in fun and laughter, while offering deep reflection.

I weave together my experience of working with people of all ages and training in hypnotherapy. I anticipate holding space for people meeting their edges, being witnessed in their explorations, and likely making one another laugh.

This art form allows embodiment through prompts and metaphor, which can be interpreted in many ways.

If you so desire, there will be an opportunity to create an act for the cabaret. If you haven't performed before, this is a great opportunity to give it a go. No pressure at all!

I look forward to playing with you!

    Singing In Nature

Learn songs from around the world and warm your heart.

I’m a musician, teacher and writer living in Boscombe, by the sea. I run community choirs and use music and storytelling to bring people together. My mission is to explore the ‘wild imagination’ and nourish the soul through song, word, movement and dance. We are all sparks of the divine flame. Music helps us remember.

  • Abril Trias

    Drawing & Mark Making Space

Abril will bring simple drawing tools such as pencils, charcoal and colour markers to the dance space. Drawing enables an introspective, active looking-witnessing. For the duration of the camp, a space will be set up and covered with paper. Participants are invited to come at any time and make marks.

I have experience delivering participatory arts experiences in South Wales, working with people of different ages, often intergenerationally, and in an inclusive manner supporting people’s needs. My facilitation is person-centred, as I support participants in finding their journey of self-expression and well-being through the arts in their own unique way. I have worked with a variety of media and art techniques, including community art eco-crafts, textile, printing, sculpture, dance/ movement and filmmaking- as well as delivering “creative recovery” sessions for people needing support in reconnecting with their essence and creative voice.

    Writing Space: Words In Movement

The movement of the body and how we connect with others could be described as a language; being part of a dance, or witnessing a dance, an unfolding of words or sentences.

As part of this year's camp we are going to offer two opportunities to explore this connection further:

    - A Words In Movement writing corner in the main dance tent for you to drop into during a workshop or jam. A place to take some space to play with words, make notes, explore an experience, put language to what you witness in a dance.

    - Some facilitated writing sessions to support deeper engagement with writing as a reflective and expressive practice, through journalling and poetry.

Rebecca is a dancer, movement practitioner and Scaravelli yoga teacher. She has many years of experience in contact improvisation which inspires her teaching and writing. She has a Masters in poetry and has just published her second book of poems.
